Nelson’s Apple Farm is a family owned and operated apple orchard in need of a few extra helping hands to help with this season’s harvest. No experience is necessary, but if you have a passion for apples, working outside and inside, and are ready to take on a wide variety of duties during your day, Nelson’s Apple Farm is the place for you.

Weekday/Saturday Farmers Market Sales Associate

              

Job Description:

Position requires managing and selling apples in a 10x10 booth at designated St. Paul Farmers Market locations during weekdays and/or Saturdays. Responsibilities include driving to the markets, setting up the stand, selling to a wide variety of customers, promoting the apple orchard, answering customer questions, tearing down the stand at the end of the market, returning to the orchard, and unloading the vehicle. Markets are open rain or shine and are strictly outdoors. 

Ideal Candidate:

Passion for working with people and providing excellent customer service.

High energy and great communication skills.

Dependable, punctual, and achievement-oriented.

Strength to frequently lift 40+ pounds and ability to bend, squat, lift, and move with ease.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

General Weekend Staff

Job Description:

Position is for weekends in September and October only. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, picking and sorting apples and pumpkins, inventory, social media, concessions, cleaning, and more.  Position will be working inside and outside.  The goal is to make each visitor's apple picking experience entertaining, educational, and memorable.  

Ideal Candidate:

Passion for working with people and providing excellent customer service.

Great communication skills.

Ability to be assertive when visitors are not abiding by the safety rules.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
